Quiet Morning Thursday 12 August 2021
A Quiet Morning with St Benedict:
Listen carefully with the ear of your heart.
The quiet morning will be led by Br Stuart, a member of the Anglican Benedictine community at Mucknell Abbey, and will commence at 10 am on Thursday 12 August 2021 in the Undercroft of Worcester Cathedral.
Through guided reflections and silence, Br Stuart will explore the call to silence and how we own the distractions and complexities which often prevent us from stilling ourselves. Then, through scripture we shall think of Jesus's call, 'I am the vine; you are the branches', and what it means for 'the real me' to be a branch. Finally there will be a mediation on offering ourselves to God before sharing in Holy Communion. The quiet morning finishes at 12 noon.
The morning will be held in the Undercroft, a fully accessible area of the cathedral, where we can meet in a socially distanced way. As places are limited, please book in advance using the form below.
