"Prefer nothing to the worship of God" St Benedict

The regular worship of God is the foundation of everything we do in Worcester Cathedral. Worcester Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship for fourteen centuries. We welcome visitors of all faiths and no faith and all are invited to attend our services.

'In-Person' and Online Worship

For details of our current service times, together with information about which services are open to the puiblic, and which are live-streamed only, please see our Services page.

Open for private prayer and reflection

The Cathedral is currently open for private prayer and reflection (and visiting) Monday to Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 1pm - 3pm. Public worship has now restarted and we also livestream an act of worship every day.

Track and Trace System

In accordance with government and Church of England advice, all worshippers and visitors are strongly encouraged to use the voluntary ‘track and trace’ system in operation at the cathedral. This takes two forms.

  • You can scan the NHS ‘Test and Trace’ QR code clearly visible at the cathedral entrance;
  • or you can complete a piece of paper with your contact details, and place it in the ‘Track and Trace’ box by the north door.

Please note that you need to register attendance for each separate visit to the cathedral. We will supply the attendance information to relevant authorities if it is requested, and you will not otherwise be contacted. We will not use the attendance information for any other purpose, and the paper slips will be deleted/destroyed after three weeks.

Services for a special occasion or to give thanks

During normal operating periods, we hold services on behalf of schools, charities and organisations throughout the year. To organise a special service to mark an important occasion or give thanks, we are taking enquiries for 2021. To enquire about organising a special service, please contact the Chapter Office at
