Letters, Leaves and Light, an Exhibition by Elizabeth Beattie

Letters, Leaves and Light celebrates the beauty of light and line in delicate natural forms and larger spaces. Fine artist and calligrapher Elizabeth Beattie works directly from close observation in a wide range of media and techniques. Her work seeks to create visual poetic qualities in layered watercolours overlaid with calligraphic lettering to bolder directly observed still life and landscape subjects.

The Cathedral Eco Group is delighted to invite you to join 'Living Gently on the Earth'... a series of community events, talks and workshops on caring for our planet. Exploring faith, cooking, gardening, money matters, shopping and more, these events will culminate in a Big Green Family Fair in the Cathedral’s medieval cloisters in October.

'The Light Still Shines' - A Celebration of Still Life Oil Painting

This planned exhibition of still life oil paintings by Nicola Currie was postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic. The work in this rescheduled solo exhibition brings together paintings completed during lockdown until the present. Home-based for much of this period the artist’s work provides a reflection on the extraordinary beauty of the natural world and everyday objects.

Fossils in the Geopark

Travel back millions of years this August at Worcester Cathedral with the 'Fossils in the Geopark' exhibition. Throughout August Worcester Cathedral will be exhibiting in the South Cloister a display of fossil specimens and exhibition posters entitled “Fossils in the Geopark” created by Geologists in the Geopark.

There are a number of events, tours and family activities taking place here at the Cathedral during this year's Worcester Festival, which takes place from Saturday 13 - Monday 29 August 2022.

Summer Festival Fayre in the Cloister

As part of the Worcester Festival, we will be hosting a Summer Festival Fayre in the Cathedral cloister on Saturday 13th August, from 10am - 4pm.  We are now taking bookings for stallholders.

Expect to hear timeless classics such as When A Child is Born, Silent Night and All I Want For Christmas, as well as delightful medleys to evoke the Christmas spirit, all delivered exquisitely in some of the UK's most iconic historical venues.
