Young Voices New Visions Exhibition

28 May - 2 July 2023

28 May – Sunday 2 July

From Sunday 28 May until Sunday 2 July, we will be hosting 'Young Voices New Visions' - an annual exhibition organised by Severn Arts, showcasing visual art works created by children and young people from across Worcestershire.

The artwork presented has been created by over 50 local schools, individuals and community groups responding to the 2023 theme ‘Time’. The artwork presented spans a range of media including 3D artworks, photography and paintings, skilfully curated by Richard Webb working with Steven Thomas and newly appointed exhibition assistant Francesca Ridsdale.

On display in the medieval cloister, the exhibition will be open to visitors during normal Cathedral visiting hours, 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday (last entry 4.30pm) and 1pm-3pm on Sundays (last entry 2.30pm). Admission is free and everyone is welcome!

There will also be a family drop-in workshop on Friday 2nd June, from 11am - 1pm in the Chapter House. Participants will be invited to explore 'dressing through time' - a workshop inspired by decades gone by and brought to life by participants' own ideas and imagination. Come and create your own fashion illustration using reclaimed fabrics, papers and collagraph prints to dress your model.  This workshop promotes a circular economy of sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products. Design for the future or celebrate the past, all while reusing and recycling what's already here.
