Events & Venue Hire

A great venue

Worcester Cathedral is a great venue for an event. The Cathedral has regularly hosted concerts and exhibitions large and small, as well as Shakespeare plays, operas, films, photo shoots, dinners, drinks receptions, and flower festivals.

We take part in the annual Worcester Festival in August, when visitors can 'Discover Something Different' through tours, talks and workshops for people of all ages. We are also part of the organising team for the Love Worcester Heritage Festival in the February half term holiday, that has included events for young and old, such as writing, poetry, calligraphy & watercolour workshops, and has featured the opportunity to meet the Six Wives of Henry VIII!

Christmas is a special time for many and in the past we have held a Christmas Fayre around the Cloister during the weekend that Worcester hosts the annual Victorian Christmas Fayre, around the start of Advent. Many visitors look forward to our Christmas Trees at Worcester Cathedral event that we organise for December. In the past we have hosted 80 glittering trees around the Cloister which has been a delight to all.

Come and look around the Cathedral and be inspired. The Cathedral is open for general visiting from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday and 1pm to 3pm on Sunday.

Alternatively book an appointment to come and look around some of our spaces that can hold private functions and events, such as the Chapter House, the Hickes room and the new (but historic) Undercroft that has newly opened.
