We are proud of the people who work for us at the Cathedral and have a very good level of staff retention, which means we don't often have vacancies. However, we do want to attract the best people to our jobs and take the process of recruitment seriously. We are also keen to ensure that Safeguarding is a top priority and will follow the Diocese of Worcester's Safe Recruitment policy and processes.
Vacancies will be advertised on this page for jobs at Worcester Cathedral and our associated Almshouse St Oswald's Hospital. We commit to advertising all our roles on this page. If there are no current vacancies that match your requirements at this time, please do keep checking.
For each vacancy we will include a Job Description and Person Specification, which details the expectations for each role.
Please complete an application form (unless specified otherwise) and equalities monitoring form and return it by the advertised closing date to email@example.com, unless otherwise stated in the application pack.
If you do not hear from us within five days of the closing date, we have not been able to shortlist your application.
If you are invited to an interview, we will advise you of the arrangements. Please let us know if you have any additional needs that we should consider.
Thank you for your interest in Worcester Cathedral.

Suitable for graduate or gap-year singers, the scholarship offers the opportunity to work with and learn from the thriving Music Department at Worcester Cathedral. Previous holders of choral scholarships have gone on to obtain posts as lay clerks at cathedrals around the country, and scholarships at colleges at both Oxford and Cambridge.
Closing Date: Thursday 19th May 2022 at 5pm
Vacancies: Catering Assistants
We are currently seeking two Catering Assistants for our cosy Cloister Cafe on Saturdays, from 10am - 5pm and 12.30 - 4.30pm.
Chair of Nominations Committee: Voluntary Position
We are seeking to appoint a Chair for a new Nominations Committee.
New legislation, the ‘Cathedrals Measure 2021’ means that over the next few years, all cathedrals will register as charities with the Charity Commission and for our cathedral, this will require some changes in governance and an opportunity to add new skills and expertise to our Chapter in a non-executive capacity.
The new nominations committee's principal function is to advise the Chapter on the recruitment of non-executive members, the recruitment of members of committees of the Chapter and any training needs within the Chapter. In addition, the Committee will also review the diversity, skills, knowledge and experience of the members of the Chapter to provide support where required in the form of recommendations to the Chapter. More broadly, the post holder will have the opportunity to help guide and support the Cathedral through it’s early days as a charity and beyond.
