We offer historical tours
of Worcester Cathedral that can be prebooked all year round and†tailored to your†own requirements. Contact us at the Cathedral Chapter office
to discuss†arrangements and request a booking form.
Alternatively†you are can simply Turn up for a Tour
at 11am and 2.30pm, Monday to Saturday from†March until the end of November (excluding Good Friday) or from December†until the end of February†on Saturday's only at the same times £5 per person pay at the Cathedral Shop (accompanied children free). (From time to time It may be necessary to cancel Turn up for a Tour if there is a service or event taking place.) † Meet your guide outside our shop in the Cloister.† Unguided Groups
welcome†to visit the cathedral, however we recommend prebooking as we have lots of services
happening throughout the week, many of which are unpublished and that†may restrict your visit or that†you may want to be aware of.†We can advise you of the best time to visit and also offer you the opportunity to prebook refreshments

For something special consider a private tour of our†ancient Library
, which can be arranged by prior appointment only. The historical library has one of the world's most important collections of medieval books and music.
A World War 1: †Worcester Cathedral Connections Tour can be arranged with a Cathedral Guide linking some of the people who were part of the Worcester Cathedral community and their part in the war. †For more information contact us at the Chapter Office - £5 per person.
Talks by King John's Tomb for pre-booked groups of 6 or more persons
. King John's tomb has the oldest Royal effigy in England and makes a stunning seeting to hear about his life, his disputes with the French king, The Pope and the Barons leading up to him sealing Magna Carta. £6 per person. Click here to book.

View King John's Will and artefacts
Pre-booked group visits to the Cathedral's medieval Library to see King John's Will, the oldest remaining Royal Testament in England, his artefacts and relics. †£5 per person. †Click here to book.
- For a day out with a difference we can offer bespoke tours of†the Bell tower, including a Battle of Worcester 1651 talk from the top;†Upper Reaches (Behind the scenes); or of our working Mason's yard. Prices for these tours are on request, again contact us at the Chapter office.
Parish and†Diocesan groups
will be interested to know that we can offer an away day pilgrimage to the Cathedral.†A typical visit could include a short service, for example in the Crypt or Lady Chapel, a spiritual tour of the Cathedral and lunch or afternoon tea†in the chapter house. Please contact the Chapter office
to†discuss your day out here and the costs.
Tours for School groups
or young people can be arranged with our Education Officer.
Charges -Turn up for a Tour
Turn up for a Tour for adults in 2016 costs just £5 per person†(accompanied children are free) and can be paid for†at the Cathedral†Shop in the cloister.†
A†Cathedral guide will conduct a general historical guided tour of the Cathedral at the times and dates mentioned above.†Turn up for a Tour'
tours†last an hour.
Occasionally Turn up for a Tour
may have to be cancelled due to an event in the Cathedral, if you are making a special visit please visit our homepage and contact the Cathedral Chapter office
to check during the week of your†visit.†
Charges - Historical†Tours for Groups†
Prebooked historical†tours of the Cathedral for groups†in 2016 cost†£6 for adults and £5.50 for concessions. Payment can be by invoice or on the day in the shop.
If you wish to bring a group to Worcester Cathedral, our trained experienced guides can provide general or specialist tours.†Tours can be tailored to your requirements.†
Prebooked historical tours for groups generally last 1 hour or 1 and a half hours, to suit the group.

If you would like a specialist subject please remember to request this prior to booking as it will be subject to our specialist guides being available.
Charges -†Unguided Group Visits
